    Presenting the free pattern for The Friendly (mini) Giraffe! This is a smaller version of my Friendly Giraffe pattern. So super cute!! Because everything is cuter in miniature, right? He comes just under 6 inches tall. Works up quick making it a GREAT last minute gift or craft fair item. I may whip a few up to keep on hand for baby showers...

    You will need:
    Size 3.75 or 4.0 hook
    Size 4 Worsted Weight yarn (I used I Love this Yarn and Red Heart Super Saver)
    9 mm safety eyes
    Polyfil
    Yarn needle

    Mini Giraffe Pattern

    Body
    Round 1: In a magic circle, 6 SC.
    Round 2: SC INC in each around. (12)
    Round 3: SC in first, SC INC in next. Repeat around. (18)
    Round 4: SC in first 2, SC INC in next. Repeat around. (24)
    Round 5: SC in first 3, SC INC in next. Repeat around. (30)
    Round 6: SC in first 4, SC INC in next. Repeat around. (36)
    Round 7-12: SC in each stitch around. (36)
    Begin stuffing. Continue to stuff as you go.
    Round 13: SC in the first 4, INV DEC in the next. Repeat around. (30)
    Round 14: SC in the first 3, INV DEC in the next. Repeat around. (24)
    Round 15: SC in the first 2, INV DEC in the next. Repeat around. (18)
    Round 16: SC in the first, INV DEC in the next. Repeat around. (12)
    Rounds 17-22: SC in each around (12)
    Fasten off and leave a long tail to sew on the head.

    Legs (make 2)
    With Accent Color
    Round 1: In a magic circle, 6 SC.
    Round 2: SC INC in each around. (12)
    Round 3: SC in first, SC INC in next. Repeat around. (18)
    Round 4-5: SC in each stitch around. (18)
    Round 6: INV DEC in each around. (9)
    Change to Body Color
    Rounds 7-23: SC in each stitch around. (9)
    Fasten off and leave a long tail to sew on to the body. Sew onto body between rows 5 and 6, about 6 stitches apart.

    Arms (make 2) (I did not stuff the arms)
    Round 1: 8 SC in a magic circle.
    Round 2-15: SC in each around (8)
    Fasten off and leave a long tail to sew on to the body. Sew on row 15 (right before the neck!)

    Head
    With Accent Color
    Round 1: In a magic circle, 6 SC.
    Round 2: SC INC in each around. (12)
    Round 3: SC in first, SC INC in next. Repeat around. (18)
    Round 4: SC in first 2, SC INC in next. Repeat around. (24)
    Round 5: SC in first 3, SC INC in next. Repeat around. (30)
    Rounds 6-7: SC in each around. (30)
    Change to Body Color
    Rounds 8-15: SC in each around. (30)
    Place Safety Eyes in between rounds 10-11, six stitches apart.
    Round 16: SC in the first 3, INV DEC in the next. Repeat around. (24)
    Round 17: SC in the first 2, INV DEC in the next. Repeat around. (18)
    Round 18: SC in the first, INV DEC in the next. Repeat around. (12)
    Round 19: INV DEC around. (6)
    Stuff the neck well! Sew the remaining hole closed.
    Fasten off and carefully sew the remaining hole closed. Sew onto body!

    Ears (make two)
    Round 1: In a magic circle, 6 SC.
    Round 2: SC INC in each around. (12)
    Rounds 3-5: SC in each around. (12)
    Round 6: INV DEC in each around. (6)
    Round 7: SC in each around. (6)
    Fasten off, leaving a tail to sew on the head.

    Horns (make two)
    Round 1: In a magic circle, 6 SC.
    Round 2: SC INC in each around. (12)
    Rounds 3: SC in each around. (12)
    Round 4: INV DEC in each around. (6)
    Round 5-6: SC in each around. (6)
    Fasten off, leaving a tail to sew on the head.
