Crochet Santa Hat Jar Topper

I wanted a quick gift idea that I could give to neighbors and friends. Something nice and meaningful, but that didn’t take too much time. This Crochet Santa Hat Jar Topper was perfect and I think they are going to like them. Because who doesn’t like chocolate and a crocheted Santa Hat??

This little hat sits on the top of a mason jar filled with whatever you want. I went some Lindt truffles because I like the color. And chocolate. Add a cute gift tag and you have a perfect gift! This hat fit both a quart and a pint jar. I saw some really cute jars that seemed a similar size at Hobby Lobby as well so it is really versatile!

You will need:
Small amount of Red size 4 worsted weight yarn (about 40g)
Small amount of white yarn
pom pom maker (I used the yellow one)
needle for weaving in ends
3.75 hook

(Use the 3.75 hook and red yarn.)
At the end of each round you will chain 2. It does not count as a stitch. Fasten to the first stitch with a slip stitch at the end of each row.
