Mountains and Trees Applique Pattern

These are the mountain and trees applique pattern that I used to embellish my crochet road blanket. You can make as many or as few as you would like! They could also be used in many different ways and for different things. Ready to make some mountains and trees? They are super easy:)

Mountains:
1.Chain 2 and in the first chain add 2 DC. Chain 2 and turn. (2 DC)
2. Place two DC in each stitch. chain 2 and turn. (4 DC)
3. 2 DC in first stitch, DC in next 2, 2 DC in last. chain 2 and turn. (6 DC)
4. 2 DC in first stitch, DC in next 4, 2 DC in last. chain 2 and turn. (8 DC)
Repeat the pattern until you reach the desired length!

For the snow:
Repeat the mountain pattern from Row 1-4. Add the ripples by experimenting with multiple stitches in one stitch. Sew on top of the mountain.

Tree
1.Chain 2 and in the first chain add 2 HDC. Chain 2 and turn. (2 HDC)
2. Place two HDC in each stitch. chain 2 and turn. (4 HDC)
3. 2 HDC in first stitch, HDC in next 2, 2 HDC in last. chain 2 and turn. (6 HDC)
4. 2 HDC in first stitch, HDC in next 4, 2 HDC in last. chain 2 and turn. (8 HDC)
Continue the pattern until you reach the length you want (I went to about 8 or 9 rows).
Attach brown yarn to the center of the last row ans chain 7 (or longer depending on your tree size). HDC up the chain and slip stitch to the tree.
